Kale chips are simple when the leaves are dry and the oil stays light. Zombie Breath does the rest, bringing the garlic-and-onion flavor without turning the snack into a long ingredient list.
Ingredients
- Kale, washed and completely dried
- Olive oil
- Zombie Breath
Directions
- Heat the oven to 350°F.
- Tear or cut the kale into chip-size pieces and make sure the leaves are completely dry.
- Toss lightly with olive oil and Zombie Breath. You want the leaves coated, not soaked.
- Spread in a single layer over baking sheets.
- Bake about 10 to 15 minutes, checking toward the end so the edges crisp without burning.
- Taste and add a final light dusting of Zombie Breath if needed.
The important part: moisture is the enemy of crisp kale. Dry the leaves well before the oil goes on.
Zombie Powder or Bone Cruncher can also take this in a different direction. Same method, different personality.
