After a game, the appetite can be enormous and the conversation even bigger. Somebody relives a great play, somebody argues about a call, and the people who came to watch finally get a chance to sit together.
That meal does not need fine-dining precision. A tray of chicken, bowls of rice, vegetables and a few sauces can do the work. What matters is enough food, a place to gather and a cook who knows when to start so nobody waits forever.
What stays with us
We like meals that celebrate the work that came before them. The athlete, volunteer, coach and parent all bring different parts of the day to the table. Feeding them is a way to acknowledge that effort.
ZSR's role is simple: offer flavor tools that help the person cooking keep the meal moving. The best part may be the stories told while everybody reaches for seconds.
