Chicken burgers are one of those easy dinners that can go bland fast. Zombie Breath fixes that with the garlic-and-onion profile already built in, so the patty tastes seasoned all the way through instead of only on the surface.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup finely chopped white onion
- 4 to 6 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 4 tbsp Zombie Breath
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Burger buns
Optional: red pepper flakes, diced jalapeno or a splash of Japanese-style BBQ sauce.
For the burgers
- Sliced shallots
- Arugula
- Heirloom tomato
- Swiss cheese
- Mayo and mustard
Directions
- Combine the chicken, onion, garlic, egg, panko and Zombie Breath. Mix just until combined.

- Shape into 4 to 6 patties.
- Cook in a lightly oiled skillet or on the grill over medium heat until cooked through.
- Add cheese near the end if using.
- Build the burgers with shallot, arugula, tomato and your favorite condiments.
Pro tip: The Japanese-style BBQ sauce is optional, but a small splash in the mixture adds another savory layer.
