There is an awkward moment that can happen when somebody proudly serves a traditional dish and a guest immediately announces how they would improve it. The suggestion might be well-intended, but it can erase the work and history behind the meal.
At ZSR, we are curious about how flavors travel between kitchens. Curiosity needs to come with humility. When another cook invites us into their food, our first responsibility is to understand what they chose to make and why.
What stays with us
Ask about the ingredients and method. Notice what matters to the cook. If there is a genuine invitation to experiment, then it can be fun to explore a different seasoning direction together.
Our blends are tools for creativity, not proof that every dish needs our intervention. Sometimes the most respectful thing to bring to dinner is an appetite and a good question.
