A customer sees a seasoning jar and thinks about dinner. A retailer sees a product that must also arrive correctly, carry the right information, and be available when somebody returns for another one.
Behind both experiences is a fair amount of unglamorous work. Zombie Spice Rub manufactures dry seasoning blends through a shared commercial kitchen in Colorado. Our internal procedures cover recipes and formulas, raw-material lots, production records, packaging, labeling, sanitation, and traceability.
Know what went into the blend
Ingredients arrive from suppliers in identifiable lots. Production records connect those materials to batches. Finished-goods records link packaged products back to those batches.
This is not paperwork for its own sake. Organized records help a small food business investigate a question, trace an ingredient, or respond to a quality concern without relying on somebody's memory.
Allergens need deliberate controls
Bone Cruncher contains sesame. That changes how we handle utensils, equipment, cleaning, and labeling compared with our other blends. Our procedures call for designated smallwares and documented controls to limit cross-contact.
Good operating habits are built through ordinary repetitions. The batch log gets filled in. The label gets checked. The right utensils are used. The packaging details stay consistent. None of this makes for a dramatic product video, and that is fine.
Why it matters
Our brand has a loud name and a sense of humor. The manufacturing side needs discipline. When somebody gives ZSR shelf space, recommends a blend, or buys a second jar, they are counting on consistent execution behind the scenes.
That is what high standards mean to us in practice: putting systems behind the product we say we will deliver.
