A pantry has limited space, and each jar competes with ingredients a cook already knows. A seasoning earns a place there when its flavor is distinct, understandable and useful across meals.
The first test is straightforward: does it taste good on the foods it was designed for? The next is harder. Can a cook find three or four more uses without consulting a complicated instruction sheet? Does the blend fit ordinary shopping and cooking habits?
What stays with us
That is why ZSR's all-purpose positioning matters to us. We want blends that have clear personalities but do not demand single-purpose treatment. A cook should be able to move from roasted vegetables to a protein or a bowl and still find a reason to reach for the jar.
The measure is what happens after the first experiment. If the blend becomes part of the cook's normal rotation, it has earned its keep.
