A funny product name is a great conversation starter. Zombie Spice Rub certainly benefits from that. Someone sees a zombie on a jar, smiles and wants to know what could possibly be inside.
The tougher moment comes a few weeks later. Did the customer find a reason to use the seasoning again? Was the flavor understandable? Did it work with ingredients they already buy, or did the jar sit behind something more familiar?
The part that matters
That is why our shift toward everyday all-purpose cooking matters. Barbecue introduces many people to rubs, but dinner happens throughout the week. We want each blend to have enough character for discovery and enough flexibility for repeat use.
A clever name can earn a place in the shopping basket. Only the experience in the kitchen earns another purchase. We try to make decisions with that second moment in mind.
